Below are just some of the positive comments WorkClues has received in the past about our work methods, approach and the results for our clients.

“Work Clues (John) played a crucial role in supporting Denver’s decision to transform the culture of the business to support it’s growth aspirations. It was clear with John early that growing people, grows businesses.

We embarked on a 6 month engagement (in the 1st year of the pandemic mind you) for John to understand our business, our people, our history and our direction forward and support us in building a plan to transform culturally. John’s ability to cut-through is incredible and the path we set out on was one built on three priorities we committed to our people to transform; complete transparency, empowerment and authority to act. As John would regularly say to me….’tapping into your greatest asset, your people, and harnessing their talents and intelligence is just beautiful to watch and see the magic happen’….it certainly did.

We achieved some incredible change at Denver, many of which still surprises me today. Our connectedness, innovation, retention, productivity and financial growth were some of the key areas we saw immediate positive impact through John’s guidance with our people. The greatest impact I saw was just our people enjoying what they do, feeling heard and empowered as “business owners” to enact change. It was incredibly rewarding to be part of.

John (Work Clues) is someone that has an incredible passion, experience and love for creating thriving businesses…In a world of rapid change (that is honestly overwhelming at times), the resignation wave, macro economic issues etc etc….if there’s someone that you can trust to help navigate that with you and your greatest assets, your people, then John is the right person. He’s also an incredible human that I’m really lucky to have met and worked with.”

Denver Technology engaged WorkClues during 2020 & 2021 to commence a culture transformation journey as we had identified that this was critical to support the growth direction of Denver. When I first met John, we had immediate alignment with his approach to building high performance cultures through removing hierarchies, organisational bureaucracy and the greatest asset to your business, your people.

There were three areas we identified as critical to this journey; build an organisation that enables empowerment of people, transparency of information and providing authority to act. John was instrumental in supporting Denver on this journey with his experience, insights, engagement style and sense of humour to enable us to move the dial on a 30 year business.

If you’re about building a high performance culture through embracing the collective intelligence of your people, removing hierarchies, dropping the ego’s and seeing people thrive, then there’s really only one person I would turn too, John and WorkClues.

When John Cluer from WorkClues was introduced to me in 2019, I immediately knew that John’s insights into company culture, structure and motivation would add value to our business. Over the next 12 months John delivered on that, making subtle but significant changes to how we operate. His rapport and connection across all levels of our business enabled him to suggest improvements and changes that would benefit all. If you are a company looking to motivate and focus your workforce then John is your guy.

We worked closely with John for our cultural transformation at Denver. John guided us through this process and in doing so constantly challenged our thinking, and provided a different and most valuable perspective. This is something I have taken away from working with him. He has a deep understanding of the subtleties of a high performing workplace culture and was always keen to share this knowledge with us.

WorkClues was commissioned by ASX listed Amcom telecommunications company, to embark on a business transformation of it’s workplace. The process was a game changer defying conventional corporate measurements. Over an extended period following the intervention, the market capitalization of the business increased 14 fold and at the same time, the work environment changed from top-down to a high level of engagement and most critically, a fun workplace was created.

Rural Health West’s strategic plan review and update by WorkClues. As the CEO, I met with Work Clues International’s John Cluer in Perth, to discuss how we might proceed with this task and if Work Clues could assist in facilitating the process.

In my mind the process involved engaging the Directors, senior staff and a range of external stakeholders to revise the plan, however Work Clues encouraged our Directors to take a new and contemporary approach. This approach included engaging all staff in the process and delivering a fully revised plan to the Directors for endorsement. To my surprise the Directors were agreeable to taking this non-traditional approach and have been extremely comfortable with what was finally presented and how that Plan is now being implemented.

There is no doubt that the staff of Rural Health West have been empowered by this approach and have a more open mind to transforming our organisation to one which is underpinned by clearly articulated values, a vibrant purpose, behaviours of empowered networks with a transparent, ground up approach, as opposed to a controlled hierarchal top down process.

As a CEO supporting this organisational mind shift has certainly come with some risks, however the benefits and increased engagement of all members of the team AND the communities we serve has been incredibly rewarding. Both the Board of Directors and I are grateful to JohnCluer for the exciting and challenging journey that Rural Health West is on. A constantly adapting and never complacent journey through 2016 and onwards!

2022-2000: I am pleased to have worked with John Cluer for over 20 years

John has impressed myself and all my colleagues as the true professional. He combines great strategic sense with entrepreneurship to ensure that organizations are built and programmes undertaken in an exceptional manner. These attributes, combined with excellent interpersonal skills, make John a standout.

I worked with John in my role as CEO of the Trans-Tasman Business Circle and National CEO of the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce.

In the former, I was very much aware of the excellent work he did in building The Executive Connection into one of the most dynamic chapters it has in this region.

In the latter role, I saw how John built a dynamic business organization into the leading chamber of commerce in Western Australia through an innovative set of events and partnership building which re-invented all existing business models for such an organization.

Apart from his enterprising approach to life, John’s wonderful social skills ensure that he achieves his objectives by taking people on a journey with him – willingly! The buy-in that he achieves from stakeholders is testimony to his goal-setting and team-building talents.

John Weiss
Chief Executive Officer
Trans-Tasman Business Circle

John was instrumental in bringing to the program an insight into the world best practice and was successful in changing a subservient employee culture to that of challenging and questioning the status quo to improve performance. Through John’s involvement the workforce evolved to become innovative and champions of change. His work established a firm platform for employees to actively be involved in process improvement. Their combined efforts were rewarded by the region achieving ISO 9002 Status. The regions workforce has also, through John’s efforts, been exposed to quality customer service techniques and the diplomacy required to maintain an efficient customer’s relations framework. This facet of John’s work was extremely rewarding as it instilled, in a customer oriented workforce, the need for service excellence.

During this time I found him to be one of the most capable facilitators that I have ever worked with, during my ten years in training and development. John has a capacity to read the group’s moods and capabilities and always optimises their collective output. His skills and drive ensure that all the member’s contributions were recognized and thus they not only participated wholeheartedly in the programs but they thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I have no hesitation in recommending John as a gifted facilitator and program designer who is totally committed to the development of high performance, participative organisiations.

John’s role was to work with the departmental managers, supervisors and sales force towards the achievement of shifts in culture and attitude leading to higher levels of customer satisfaction. His understanding of the ‘open organisation’ concept is excellent and his focus on improving individual contribution through empowerment of staff. I found him easy to work with and a ready ear to bounce ideas off, I am happy to endorse John Cluer to any organisation working for long term cultural change.

I was impressed with the approach he adopted which was to listen intently and seek to understand my needs and those of my organisation. John’s approach embodied the very behaviors we were seeking to engender and he was committed to modeling those behaviors in all the work he undertook.

He was very much the 'Mentor' who could help you find creative solutions to problems rather that give you answers. John has a unique innovative style, strong and yet compassionate and always maintaining his focus with 'win/win' type solutions.

Julian Zotti, State Sales Manager Yellow Pages Australia,

John’s ability and expertise in extracting information from a group of individuals in a workshop environment is evident with sixteen of the twenty-four project that were highlighted already completed.
